Wildflower Turf Wimbledon, London
Wildflower turf was used for this project which creates instant results. Nearly 1,000 spring bulbs were planted under the turfs to give early season colour before the grass and flowers start to grow. Generally meadows are cut right down in the autumn, but if there is extensive growth early on in the season then it is feasible to cut them earlier in May, which often prevents the plants growing too tall and falling over in the late summer.
